November 4, 2025 — California Voted “YES” on Prop 50!
Californians delivered a decisive victory on Election night when Proposition 50 was immediately called. Voters passed the ballot measure, approving temporary congressional district maps to fight back against Trump and Republican’s 2026 mid-term election rigging.
The Prop 50 win is an example of the power we hold as a state that is more than ready to fight for the future we deserve. We reject the attacks on our democracy, on our loved ones and in our communities.
Together, we delivered more than a win at the ballot box. CBE Action’s voter outreach team and volunteers contacted nearly 1,200 voters over 12 days, phone banking and canvassing across the state to reach Spanish speaking voters. We identified over 800 Californians who were voting Yes on Prop 50, about 70% of the voters we talked with were vocal with their support. We united our voice and our votes, because no matter our zip code, background, or color of our skin we all deserve to live dignified lives and have our needs meet. We proved that when we organize across movements, we win!
Now, we keep up the pressure and don’t let up.
The Trump administration, their billionaire friends, and greedy corporations will continue in their attempts to rollback climate and environmental justice protections and drive the rising cost of rent, groceries, and healthcare. Across California, people are coming together to build the future we deserve – where families thrive and are active participants in co-creating healthy sustainable neighborhoods. We won’t back down!
